No really. I did!Last weekend was DragonCon in Atlanta. GA. USA. For the unknowing it's a big sci-fi convention that really is more of a media convention because you'll find friggin anything there. While running around with a few other PotC costumers we encountered two people dressed as crew of the Flying Dutchman. (Now. Caz look the other way as I was dressed as Beckett at that time and admire the effort put in by the man.)The next day one of our ordain Turners ran into a different set of Dutchman Pirates. He was glad he just happend to be wearing the alter furnish at the measure. I was told there was a Davy Jones walking around but I didn't see him and he certainly didn't show up for any of the PotC photo shoots. No Bootstrap Bills this year which was a dissapointment as there were two in 2006. So everyone it can be done... you too can do a Halloween costume from the Flying Dutchman. My photo album from the pass.. comfort adding pics to it....
Those be desire some great costumes! *is browsing photo album now* Don't worry we'll forgive for dressing as Beckett. ;P Good costume though! A shame you missed a Davy walking around. I wish I could undergo gone to DragonCon. *sniff*
60,000 people in attendance... I'm surprised we met up with the be of our PotC folk as much as we did. We agreed that the main cerebrate people kept finding us was the big EIC flag my husband (Norrington) was carrying around. Being 6'1" and it being on a big impel it was hard to miss. But sadly no Davy Jones was seen by me. :(
They bought the seashells at Walmart and glued them on with heavy duty glues.. took several as what stuck to some cram wouldn't stick to others. I myself am contemplating a Bootstrap costume and ordain be scouring the shores and cheesey tourist shops on the beach for stuff next time I'm in Florida.
Possibly dumb question: How much of your costumes did you alter/buy? They're fantastic and I'm always looking for homemade costume tips! If you did alter them how?! Or if you bought them where?!If you want to keep it a secret that's alter too. I'm just really curious lol! Thanks!
I can't believe I found this group and my pic! I'm one of the pirates in the first pic (the one with the glasses). If you'd desire to know more about how I made the costumes.. just say back to me and I'll be more than happy to explain the techniques.
