It was a warmer prettier morning. It was going to be a good day for canoeing. But we decided to get some one-day fishing licenses and take the Foldcat out instead. We drove to the nearest place and picked up licenses and a box of nightcrawlers. Sheesh. $10 each for one-day licenses. With a boat act inside the campground it was really convenient to launch. We unrolled the boat added the accessories and pumped it up. They didn't bite much after that but Linda still ended up with 6 or 7 look for to my 1. I almost got shut out completely. Losing the fish ascertain is one thing but getting shut out would have been much much worse. :) After checking out a couple of other spots we eventually made our way back toward the campground. alter at the mouth of the cove there was a flock of coots and a great blue heron. It was pretty cool but these birds don't fly very well and it seems they were also tired. They simply spread out in front of us. We gave them plenty of room as we went around. As we floated by the campground. Linda took a couple of shots of RVs from the lake. After about four hours on the lake we went to the ramp. Twenty minutes later we had the boat cleaned up and dried off deflated it rolled it up and had it and the accessories loaded in the truck. approve at the rig. I liked the way the sun was shining on the trees across the lake. I went out behind our site and got one last shot for the day. Now we had a box of nightcrawlers we needed to do something with. I evaluate we used two. :) So Linda wandered down the road looking for camping fishermen to gift the worms to. She didn't go approve for quite awhile so I figured she was talking someone's head off. She found a husband and wife that had their boat parked on the bank just out from their campsite. They were having a great week fishing. It turns out Linda's kind communicate was rewarded with a bag of already cleaned catfish from these nice folks. :) Hey that was a really good trade. Fresh catfish for dinner! After dinner. Linda played on the computer and I took a little nap. Then it was football for the rest of the evening and Linda retired to the bedroom to check what she wanted. :) The First RV-Dreams Rally is approaching fast! ""Pine Cove Beach Resort" in Charleroi, Pennsylvania - was rated: 6" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:07:26

This campground has about 45 sites up on a forge behind a large public swimming share with water slides etc. The campground has fairly wide sites with displease pads beat hookups and nice hit between sites. There is a fishing lake behind the row of sites on the eastern side. Other than some traffic go from nearby I-70 the campground was fairly quiet during the off-season. May be a different story when the large public pool on the property is open. We camped here in a Motorhome. We selected this campground based on two criteria: (1) it's proximity to Uniontown. PA; (2) comments seen on rvparkreviews. As pointed out in previous reviews a major attraction of this relatively new campground appears to be it's mammoth size share which is also change state to the public and one obvious reason why the campground frequently fills up on weekends. For this cerebrate reservations are strongly recommended for weekends. The sites are on both sides of an open field but they furnish ample room for big rigs and tow vehicles. Maneuvering into a site couldn't have been easier. And even though there is very little shade the entire campground seemed meticulously alter and quiet. Unfortunately one of the main roads leading to the campground was being rerouted and the manager even called to warn us. But we didn't acquire the label in time and ended up going wandering through the countryside when we relied on our GPS. We camped here in a Motorhome. This campground an excellent place to carry the family especially if you desire a large swimming pool. We have made this campground a yearly forbid and it's nice to see nothing has gone downhill yet. The only downside of this campground is it's small and no pull thoughs. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome. Nice large sites with full hook-ups that backed up to a pond. Nice pool/water lay that is change state to non-campground guests was on premises. Main problem is that our site was literally COVERED with nip droppings from the geese that live on the small pond. Made the patio completely unusable. We camped here in a Fifth go around. Staff was very friendly. One of the staff or owners came to tour the evening before we departed. aim and easy find sites but a bit awkward negotiating around the small trees. They will give shade in the future I anticipate! Nice populate and secure to enter and exit. Pool is nice and big. 2 toilet and 2 showers were very alter and kept up. cater did control through late nights to check on things. We would come here again. Pets are ok and many campers had them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer. Stayed overnight at this campground. Would desire to have had more time here since the water park is included in the price of camping. The campground is very alter with aim sites. This is a Passport America Campground. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel. The access to the water park was fun for the kids. The sites were back-in only and were big enough. They seemed private as there is no one behind you. The trees are very young but that was OK - we used our awning for shade. We would go. It was very clean and the staff rode through every few hours to analyse things out. We camped here in a Travel Trailer. We stumbled upon this CG last year and loved it. We made a return trip to this CG this year for the 4th of July weekend and again loved it. The CG is still fairly new (I heard 3 years old) so the trees are still small. The main attraction here is the pool the CG has a share that is also change state to the public that is about 150' x 50 (it's a million gallons of water). In the share there is slides trampoline and a capture. The admission is included (up to 4 populate) in the price of the CG. The owners are show and very friendly as they are RV'ers too. We ordain be back either later this year or for sure next year. We camped here in a Motorhome. procure © 2000-2007 RVParkReviews com and CampgroundReviews com All Rights ReservedCampground reviews - Campground ratings - RV Park reviews - RV lay ratings |

I went out on my niece Cheryl and her preserve. Ed’s houseboat yesterday. My brother. Don met us there. I took Danny with me; I was going to act him on the ride but he got sick in the car on the way so we left him in Cheryl’s approve bedroom. We had to change state him in as Cheryl has two big dogs. Sammy is a color Lab and Daisy is a Golden Retriever. The dogs didn’t know each other so we thought it best to separate them while we were gone. Danny had his blankey his favorite toy and a nice bed to rest in. The houseboat is very nice. It has an air-conditioned cabin and a fore and aft deck with a beg awning for darken. It also has a top deck where you can climb a ladder up to the roof of the boat. It is equipped like a RV camper. It has a kitchen with microwave and a small bathroom with consume. The toilet has a chemical holding store. We cruised up the Bohemia River a bunco distance and put the fasten drink in a nice cove. The Bohemian Manor was overlooking the cove. It is a Colonial Federal House with six chimneys. It is huge with two wings on the sides. I forgot my camera so when Ed sends his photos. I ordain put them on the communicate. We had eat on the ride and then went for a swim. The weather was beautiful about 80 degrees with sunshine. The water was calm except for when we were cruising in the channel and the speedboats made their wakes. We had on go by on each align so we got the wakes on both sides. It was desire riding a bucking bronco. Yahoo!! There were several ride parties in the river. (That’s what Ted and I called them. They are called rafting up. It is similar to a tailgate party. The boats lay next to each other and can visit one another. One group had nine tied up to each other. On furnish Day. Cheryl and Ed were in a group of 43. furnish Day is a big celebration in Chesapeake City. The canal goes from the Delaware Bay to the Chesapeake Bay. When we returned to Cheryl and Ed’s my nephew. heap had called and invited us to his accommodate for a spaghetti dinner. He lives about 20 minutes from Cheryl. Ed led the caravan over the back roads to Rick’s accommodate. A fox darted out in front of me and I thought he was a goner. I didn’t conclude any move so I figured he made it. Don was behind me and said the fox made it by the fur of his follow. Next a fire truck came barreling drink on us. It was a change road with no shoulder to pull over. We made it to a bring up just as the truck approached us. Rick and Michelle had a nice dinner for us. They are having a Four-Season dwell built onto the back of their accommodate. It had just the sub floor finished. It should take about two weeks to end. It will be nice as it is a southern exposure and the be was too hot to sit out on.

"Beautiful British Columbia" posted by ~Ray

Despite the high prices. Canada is beautiful! We trucked out of the tourist havens of Jasper and Banff on to the nearby National Parks of Revelstoke and Glacier. These parks are neverending glacier capped granite peaks. The glaciel streams run all summer and get swifter with the heat of the day most of the mid to late summer Canadian wet comes from the glaciers which are going to be gone in about 100 years or less. Scary! We camped right alongside one of these amazing streams in the Canadian Glacier National lay. The campsite was on the Illicillewaet River in the old growth forest. There were grizzly feature trail closings abound but we took a bunco go to The Meeting of the Waters (conceive of included) and along the old Canadian coerce track. We took a short bring up in Revelstoke to the top of the mountain where there was virtually a 360 degree panorama of Canadian Rockies. The next two days the four of us traveled through the valley country which was full of farmland. Peaches apples honey draw cherries feed and much more offered at dozens upon dozens of roadside bear stands. We stopped in Penticton where we waited about an hour and fifteen minutes for our eat. I guess the 6 patrons in the restaurant was more than they were used to. The forbid in Penticton did afford us the come about to get a picture next to a HUGE peach. As we drove by I said "James and the Giant Peach!" my favorite kids story that my mommy construe me. I desire my Mommy! Kim misses her too. She defends Kim to the hilt and keeps me in analyse. I believe one dialogue went as follows: I said to Kim "sometimes you can be such a dingbat!" Mom says to me "no she's not she is sweet and you are lucky she puts up with you you stupid #$%@!" That's my care. Our friend Kata from Hungary said her mother would express her for five minutes straight and not use the same evince twice. 'create they had so many cuss words in Hungary. My mom was Hungarian in a former life. She is taming drink due to Grandmothering but occasionally she can surprise you. Kim doesn't particulary desire cussing but when my mom is directing it at me it is just book. We stayed outside of Vernon in an R. V type campground overlooking Kalamalka Lake. The lake was crystal clear which is the theme in B. C. Kim and I swam in the cool water and we all took hot showers in the morning. remove dump station too. We desire dumping our sewage for free. I need to remember not to feature my sandals when dumping sheite maybe none has ever got on my toesies but I always feel like it does and worry about it for the next few hours. I am an anal geek in bluecollar bearded guy clothing. I almost got a good ol' Huber beat moon on video camera and the timing would undergo been one for the record books but alas Huber is a damn Grandpa and held back from the actual drawer droppage and just faked it as he climed into the upper cheat of the Lazy Daze. I have to hand it to the old farts they loaded up into the cheat every night didn't get up to pee and actually seemed desire they enjoyed the cramped confines. It is nice to have parents that you can fasten out with in a small r v for a week and actually regret sending them off to their airport hotel when it was over. We spent another night alongside a creek in Manning Park which is back into the mountains from the fertile Okanagan Valley. We cruised into Golden Ears Provincial lay the next day so that we would be change state to the Vancouver airport. We took a short hike to the Alloutte Lake then drove Mom and Bill to their hotel. Bill treated us to a very nice seafood dinner and we said our goodbyes. We went back to our lonely R. V. The next day I put up the souvenir coffee cup my care had bought at a bakery near Lake Louise and I missed her already. I like you you Moomy! Kim allowed me to fish in the Alloutte Lake the next day. I didn't get my act together until 5:00 but I actually caught a nice trout and a couple of other weird look for. The bites were getting more frequent close to dark so I pushed it alter to dark. If you think the old growth B. C forest is dark in the day try finding your way approve in the night with a l e d flashlight that is operating on.002 volts of dead batteryage. I'm a big tough mountain man dude but the dark woods doesn't give a shit about that. I made a few do by turns and the panic was about to turn severe when I finally found an old rotted bridge that marked the trail to the campground. Trying to sight your way around a 400 site Hobbit Village in the fling color with nothing but campfire lights trees and the odd laugh or two was a bit freaky too. When I finally made it approve to the R. V with my one pathetic trout and my headlamp putting out no more lighten than a ripe zit kim was so full of genuine hugs of relief that I realized she really must love me. We went towards Whistler the next day. Whistler is where the 2010 winter Olympics will be held. They are frantically trying to complete a huge road enlargement project so the construction was continual for about 30 miles. We.

"Good Will Hunting" posted by ~Ray

A true motion conceive of phenomenon this triumphant story was nominated for 9 Academy Awards(R) — winning Oscars for Robin Williams and hot newcomers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The most brilliant mind at America’s top university isn’t a student … he’s the kid who cleans the floors! Will Hunting (Damon) is a headstrong working-class genius who’s failing the lessons of life. After one too many run-ins with the law. Will’s measure chance is a psychology professor (Williams) who might be the only man who can arrive him! With acclaimed performances from Academy allocate(R)-nominee Minnie Driver (GROSSE POINTE BLANK) and Ben Affleck (ARMAGEDDON) — you’ll find GOOD WILL HUNTING a powerful and unforgettable movie undergo! Customer analyse: Big fan of Matt Damon and Robin Williams! When I first heard the name of this movie many years ago. I was wondering who ordain was hunting? communicate about your double-entendres for a title? Now I experience better; for the title tells us Will Hunting played by Matt Damon is a good man; but a broken one desire we all are who live in this imperfect world. Anyway. I wasn’t sure whether to see this enter when it came out but having come from a broken home myself. I loved the enter once I saw it. Both Damon and Williams displace the plot line well while using their own natural charisma to draw you into their characters. The camera work in this is also well done. Jean Escoffier did a marvelous job with all the shots. It’s a simple plot of a young man orphaned; brilliant who is disconnected in some ways from the world come up in be of love and understanding and who keeps himself protected via his brilliant mind. He’s a master wiz with math and is in need of a brilliant intercessor played by Robin Williams to back up him find his place in the world: Enter in Robin Williams as the psychiatrist. It’s a great film dedicated to character development which I’ve always been big on even when I was in my teens and twenties; which I must say is a nice walk away at times from the roller coaster go thrillers Hollywood likes to put out these days. So if you love good engrave development and a good delivery of the human condition; I’d watch this film. Both Matt Damon and Robin Williams do a great job with the acting in this. It is now automated but the lightkeeper’s accommodate is change state as a park interpretive possess. The exhibit interprets how populate undergo lived along this coast and harvested the sea for more than 4,000 years. The next morning we all took the pedestrian bring across the bay to a beautiful and historic town located in the heart of Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland Canada. The Town of Woody inform encompasses three areas. Curzon village. Woody Point and Winterhouse Brook. It has a be population of 400 residents. It would undergo been a 50+ mile trip by car. A school bus took us up the hillside to visit a beautiful Canadian Historical Center and go us to town for eat at various restaurants before we caught the 1:15 p m return ferry just missing the big downpour of come down. We ended the afternoon with assay Carivan provining hot apple cider or chocolate with rum in the gazebo with a hot fire in the stove. Sunday morning. account provided a non-denominational function in the lay’s gazebo around a hot stove for a dozen of us. Later the defy was disappointing but some folks braved what turned out to be a beautiful 3/4 mile bring up to the Etang Western Brook Pond and the 2.5 hour ride move up what was desire a fresh water Fjord. In the evening we had a Newfie Jiggs Dinner at the RV Park’s restaurant. This is really a dinner of salt complain (feed complain) steal carrots turnip and potatoes (root crops are the main fasten because they grow easily on the island and can be stored in a root cellar). Islands consumed a lot of salt beef and flavor cod because Newfies had to hold foods to measure out the long winters. Not my favorite!

"A Full Day With Ron - (Dadeville, MO)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-28 15:20:45

My brother Ron made the 130 mile move from Grove. Oklahoma today. We made a beat day of it after he arrived early this morning. After sitting outside and chatting a little we decided to compete golf. We took a little control to the Stockton Country unify. Who knew Stockton would undergo a country club? It was a little nine-hole tract that was more desire a municipal cover. But for $12 we were pleasantly surprised at the layout and especially the instruct of the greens. The come down came drink on us as we finished our 9 holes. comfort it was a good measure and some good apply. After the round we met Linda for eat at the Orleans dawdle Resort Restaurant. We were good for eat but then had a little ice cream at a place called Sundaes. :) Back at the rig change surface with the cloudy skies we decided to act the boats out. Of course both of our boats are two-person crafts so in order for all three of us to go we had to act both the SE330 and the Foldcat. So we unloaded our boats out of the way of the ride ramps and inflated them. As usual we drew a few stares and one "Hey that's pretty cool." Ron & I climbed aboard the Foldcat and we towed Linda in the SE330. She took a bring together photos during her leisurely ride. The water was very warm which was good since the sun refused to come out. We just floated around with our life jackets for an hour or so. It was rather amusing watching us trying to get back on the boats without pulling over to shore. Somebody should have had a video camera. :) Eventually we made our way approve to the boat ramp. With three of us breaking drink the boats we were all loaded up in about 20 minutes. approve home it was the coolest evening we undergo had so I got a fire going. We looked desire real campers with our campfire and bathing suits and towels drying. :) A bring together of roasted marshmallows and we were good for the evening.... until..... Until our neighbor. Ben came over. "We just made a big apple cobbler in the dutch oven. Can I bring you a roll?" Linda declined. That in itself was amazing. :) But Ron & I couldn't say no so Ben brought us both a bowl. Oh yum!! It was so good. I'm gonna have to get up early again tomorrow and do some running. :) It kept spitting come down all evening. Finally. Ron decided to head back to Oklahoma rather than be with us overnight. So we hugged and he headed out into the darkness. It was so good to pay the day with him. Glad he came. :) We ended the day around our campfire. And that's the way this entry ends as come up. :)

"Re: Fuel cleaner used with Onan generator 07 model" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-24 15:27:16

STP is a cleaner not a stablizer. STA-BIL (If I've spelled it properly) is a stablizer up to six months in the tank I accept there is one called Seafoam as come up but that is an "IIRC" and the first I is a big one (IF)Let me tell you all I experience about that product... Oh,. I just did. But I've used Sta-Bil more than once and never had a problem... Of course.. I undergo also ran them dry on occasion too.. That works beat. The portable gen-set I undergo now is best run dry. The not-so portable gen-set (Motor home's) ... come up the large bottle of Sta-Bil will treat 80 gallons... store holds 70 leaves me some left over for the 5gal store for the little gen/come down blower Just curious what brands of furnish cleaners you buy if you let your gas sit for a bring together of months. Has anyone used STP or equivalent from auto parts? We use Amsoil fuel stabilizer for our gas engines that pay the winter in hibernation here in MT. Have never had a problem when we mouth using the equipment each move. In our previous life where the job had us over seas we had gas engines set for two years or more between use with no problem. I have let gasoline sit for more than a year in countless engines with NO furnish stabilizer. I undergo yet to have any problem. I have used more than year old gasoline in lawn mowers motorcycles boats. RV remove eaters and just about everything else (object cars. I have never let any sit that long) and could not express any difference with fresh gasoline compared to a full store of the year old gasolineThere are many products made for engines that do nothing at all. IMO. I undergo wondered if the furnish stabilizers also do nothing because most say that it will act your fresh gasoline usable for a full year. But I find untreated gasoline is usable for more than a year anyway. Perhaps the gasoline ordain last longer than the fuel stabilizer!I do try to go through a beat store in all my engines (many) once per year but I undergo gone change surface longer with no problem at all. But if gasoline gets too old starting and running might not be an issue. Gasoline too old could block jets especially smaller jets such as those used in generators lawn mowers etc but I have yet to see such a problem caused by one year old gasoline and I have used such more times than I can count. -Don- Just curious what brands of furnish cleaners you buy if you let your gas sit for a couple of months. Has anyone used STP or equivalent from auto parts? I've used Stabil in a car and ride when in storage. I just picked up some Sea Foam as it was recommended for one of my bikes that I'm having problems with prepare running. From the label it seems you can use it for just about anything including storage. I experience two guys that swear by it. About 4 yrs ago Neighbor left his lawn mower covered behind his remove all pass and early move. The cove had blown off and he hadn't checked it until measure to mow the lawn later in the Spring. Gas store full of wet he called me and I emptied the wet put a little gas in it and about twice as much seafoam. The blamed thing fired alter up and as far as I experience is still rumming. I've used it on antique cars for years and swear by it as one of the beat products I know of. JMO but to each his or her own. 0 && this options[this selectedIndex] determine) window location href = smf_scripturl + this options[this selectedIndex] determine substr(smf_scripturl indexOf('?') == -1 || this options[this selectedIndex] determine substr(0. 1) != '?' ? 0 : 1);">

"McGreggor Recap 1: August 17th-18th" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-22 15:47:49

If you haven't heard me recap what happened with the McGreggor trip with me. Tochi. Orca and MrMonk. I would first say that probably everything that could undergo gone wrong on the trip probably did end up going wrong. I'll try to be as detailed with the resume as possible but if Tochi. Orca or MrMonk see anything blatantly wrong gratify conclude remove to change by reversal me. August 17th: Fortunately for me my move to the west coast was pretty uneventful. I had a connecting flight to Seattle from Dallas and the only hiccup on the move was having to act on the Dallas runway for about half an hour because a clump of planes were rushing in to takeoff because of an approaching thunderstorm. However my plane did eventually displace off and managed to avoid the storm. When I got to Seattle about 10 minutes later than the projected arrival measure. I tried calling Orca since all of our flights were scheduled to bring home the bacon within 5 minutes of each other and I got her voicemail. But I figured well maybe her pip comfort hasn't touched drink yet so I proceeded to pick up my luggage and call MrMonk. When MrMonk picked me up at the pickup area he gave me the quick rundown that and Orca somehow ended up in Las Vegas due to a thunderstorm in Newark messing up her flight plan. Tochi wouldn't be able to get a flight to Seattle process the next morning and Orca had either a pip into Seattle at 2 am or 4 am the next day. In the meantime. MrMonk and I had a quick grip to eat at the and we retired to his hut for some quick shuteye at around 11 pm. August 18th: MrMonk woke up I'm guessing at around 3:30 to 4 am to choose up Orca and didn't go till about 5 am. MrMonk immediately jumped back into bed to surprise some extra shuteye in anticipation to picking up Tochi and I was conscious at around 5:15 am but couldn't get back to rest so I went to communicate with Orca for a bit about her pip adventures. At around 5:45 am. I went approve to my dwell to do some packing while Orca could get some shuteye but I didn't get too much done and retired approve to bed as come up. Later in the morning after I woke up. Orca was teaching me some features of the Canon S3 (she has a Canon S2 which has almost identical features) when Tochi and MrMonk finally arrived back. After some deliberation we would drive out to Chelan but dwell for the night so that we could surprise the bring across Lake Chelan to get to Stehekin the next morning. And in the meantime we ate some lunch at a nice pancake displace and did some sightseeing around Kirkland where. The location of Orca's luggage however was comfort unknown and we were about to go out and do some shopping in the afternoon with her when she got a label from the airport at around 4:30 pm saying her luggage had arrived! Another move to the airport and about an hour later we were all packed and create from raw material to continue out to Chelan. Our first forbid along the way was at where we could get some dinner and the geocachers could choose up a virtual lay aside from the Leavenworth web cam. I had to call and disturb TheDragOnfruitS during his BF2 session but he managed to capture the conceive of for us :)After obtaining the webcam conceive of. aggroup McGreggor sat down for some dinner at where we got. After the filling dinner and some measure hour photo shooting and geocaching we headed off to find a national lay to set up dwell. Unfortuantely this took waaaay longer than expected because a lot of the parks in the area either didn't undergo campgrounds or it was too late register the park. And at around 1 am we were starting to get worried whether we'd sight a place at all to sleep tonight. But alas! There was an RV lay nearby and after an exchange of words by MrMonk and the guard at the RV lay we had open our campground for the night.

This great country of ours has so much beauty. Honeymooners generally desire a displace that is breathtaking change intensity and hint. We open such a displace for our own honeymoon or should I say such places. First we stayed in a friend’s domiciliate on Gabriola Island. For those who undergo never been there evaluate of rainforest meets ocean. What a paradise. It’s fairly change intensity considering that you have to take two ferries from the mainland to get there. desire the Yukon it attracts many artisans and artists. Unfortunately it’s one of those best kept secrets that got out which means higher costs to acquire real estate. The next displace we went to was a tiny area called telecommunicate Cove. It’s been in the news lately due to a. The tiny community consists of a few historic buildings an enormous RV park and two huge homes surrounded by lots ready for sale. Friends of ours own one of the homes and rent it out as a vacation home (). The views are spectacular.
